Meet the Authors!

Meet the Author S D Simper has lived in both the hottest on earth and the coldest, spans the employment spectrum from theater teacher to profesional editor, and plays more instruments than can be counted on one hand. She and her wife share a home with their two cats and innumerable bookshelves. "Carmilla, the classic vampire novella written by Sheridan Le Fanu, receives new life in this gorgeous retelling, centred on the provocative, controversial leads of the original, Carmilla and Laura. As well as 'Carmilla and Laura', Simper features in Terra Mechanica and is the author of Beneath the Loch, and the series 'Fallen Gods' and 'Sea and Stars'
